Brien Kelley is Managing Director and General Counsel responsible for all legal matters at Tides Equities. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Kelley was a partner in the Real Estate Department at Sklar Kirsh LLP, one of the premier boutique law firms in Los Angeles, California. 

 

Mr. Kelley’s association with Tides began back in 2016 when he assisted the company with its first multifamily project acquisition.  Since that time, Mr., Kelley has been Tides’ primary legal counsel and played an integral role in helping the company build a portfolio of over 30,000 units across Arizona, Texas, California, and Nevada, totaling over $6.6 Billion of real estate assets. 

 

Mr. Kelley has over twenty years of transactional real estate experience, during which time he has represented institutional and family office real estate investors, syndicators, developers, and operators in a broad range of real estate-related matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and joint ventures.  Mr. Kelley holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
